The Candidate’s Oath of Service For Our Common Good

do hereby swear to defend and uphold the Constitutions of the United States and the Sate of New Jersey and to perform my duties, as an elected representative of my constituency, to the best of my ability and in accordance with the
“The Code of Ethics For Our Common Good”.
I swear to use my position and abilities to accomplish the goals set forth in the "The Voters Agreement for our Common Good” and to put no other interests before those of the majority of my constituents.
I swear I will not use my office to propose, or support, pandering bills and feel good laws, nor will I vote on legislation that I have not read or do not understand.
I agree to resign my office immediately when it becomes apparent, that the number of my constituents that want me to resign, exceeds the total number of constituents that voted for me.
I understand that if I violate this Oath of Service I can be held liable for breach of contract and/or be physically humiliated before an open public gathering of my constituents.
